After Dempsey proves a liability as he is disposessed in what led to the match's opening goal, the U.S. rallied last night to beat Honduras 2:1 on a 43" Landon Donovan penalty and Carlos Bocanegra's 68" diving header to finish a Donovan corner. Yanks, Ummm, Draw in El Salvador

After a pathetic first 70+ minutes the U.S finally awoke and goals by Jozy Altidore and Frankie Hejduk saw the Americans to a 2:2 draw on the road in El Salvador saving what would have been one of the biggest CONCACAF shockers on recent memory.

On the whole an absolutely nightmarish outing by the USA. Not many a man showed in El Salvador and only lategame heroics by a Bob Bradley substitue and a National team senior citizen saved the day and a tad bit of dignity one would wager.

Daddy's Baby Boy Does Mexico

Michael Bradley, son of U.S. skipper Bob Bradley, did Mexico for a double en route to another U.S. World Cup qualifying victory in Columbus.

With goals in the 43' and in stoppage time, Bradley almost single handedly (with massive clean sheet help from Tim Howard) set the Yanks packing for South Africa in front of a partisan yet mixed crowd of 23,776 supporters at a rainy Columbus Crew stadium.
