After Dempsey proves a liability as he is disposessed in what led to the match's opening goal, the U.S. rallied last night to beat Honduras 2:1 on a 43" Landon Donovan penalty and Carlos Bocanegra's 68" diving header to finish a Donovan corner. After a pathetic first 70+ minutes the U.S finally awoke and goals by Jozy Altidore and Frankie Hejduk saw the Americans to a 2:2 draw on the road in El Salvador saving what would have been one of the biggest CONCACAF shockers on recent memory.

On the whole an absolutely nightmarish outing by the USA. Not many a man showed in El Salvador and only lategame heroics by a Bob Bradley substitue and a National team senior citizen saved the day and a tad bit of dignity one would wager.

Freddy Finds First Netter

Teenage phenom tuned USMNT regular Freddy Adu found the back of the net in the 69' to pad a 2:0 victory over Guatamala in a cold night in Colorado. Kenny Cooper's 54' sliding goal off a Jozy Altidore centering ball proved the gamewinner.

Adu's first career USMNT goal came off a curling set piece he expertly struck up and around the Guatamalan defensive wall from just outside the penalty area.
